[Vrstream] Speculation was, Re: The Free upgrade

Actually, I've gotten used to Samantha. I just raise her pitch a bit and it
is OK. I do have to laugh at some of her pronunciation, however. I have
even been known to go to the spell mode to see what she is actually saying.

Hi Vinny,

LOL I do tend to agree with you about Samantha and Tom, although I must
admit that the main appeal of the Stream for me prior to purchasing was that
I could read .txt files on it using TTS. I have sereena as my Jaws "Say
All" voice on my PC, and much prefer her to Samantha, so I concur in wishing
HW could improve a bit on the TTS, or at least give us some extra variety in
choosing the voices we could use. I'd even be willing to buy a couple of
TTS voices which I prefered over Tom and Samantha, and load them onto my
Stream for use, if that were an option. Of course, that would likely take
up a couple hundred MB of space, so I'm not sure it'd be worth it. I'm very
grateful for the TTS capability at all, so if we're forced to deal with Tom
and Samantha forever, I'll not bee too annoyed about it, as they're better
than nothing, in my opinion. *smile*

Warmest,
Kim
